What’s the meaning of all this?

This is my first post on this brand-new blog. It’s a filler, really, to make sure there’s a first post before I head into the serious stuff. If I dive right into some heavy introspection, I might scare you off, or I might come across as some sort of fanatic.

To be sure, I am a fanatic in many ways, but in exactly what ways and to what extent, is something I’ll disclose bit by bit. You might have to catch it between the lines sometime, or I’ll just shout it in your face (or on this page).

The reason I’m starting this blog is to help me, and maybe you, unscrew everything about us that is screwed-up, keeps screwing us over and is screwing us so tightly together that we’re like a spring that won’t bounce anymore.

Don’t worry, it’s not as bad as it sounds. I’m pretty functional, in most ways. I’m just also oddly and sometimes dangerously dysfunctional in a few others.

I’ll be honest in these posts. Overly honest, perhaps. Because it’s the internet and I’m coating myself in blissful (and naive, I know) anonymity.

  1. Hi Jorinde,
One of my best friends who is also a writer once said she sometimes feels that she hasn’t thought something if she hasn’t written it. I’m the same way and it seems you are too. Writing is such a therapeutic way to sort ourselves out, and having a space to share it all helps bring healing. Can’t wait to read more!

    1. Thanks Robin! And I agree, it really serves to solidify something in your soul when you write it down and writing helps you discover thoughts you didn’t know you had (I’m writing a post on a helpful technique for that later as well)
